SMITH RESIDENCE
Residential Design
The Smith Residence was a near-complete remodel project for a ranch-style home in Grand Rapids, MI. It involved a major floor plan remodel of all shared spaces of the home: Entry, Kitchen, Dining Room, Living Room, Hall, Pantry, Laundry Room, Mudroom, Half Bath, and Office. The project included a new, 3-sided fireplace, custom millwork, including storage built-ins and a drink station, and all new appliances, fixtures, and furniture. Opening up the home and adding additional South-facing windows better connects the family with nature and to their park-like backyard. The open floor plan lends itself well to entertaining, helps to better connect the family, and supports the Smith family's active lifestyle.
